As you write this, be sure to try to capture the voice of a Puritan. This is not your opinion, but how you think they would have felt about Bradstreet's poetry. Also be sure to include specific examples from the poems to support the opinions of your character! These should be about 300 words long. Don't freak out, that's only like three paragraphs.
With this journal entry you are showing that you can:
- cite text evidence to support your analysis of Anne Bradstreet's poetry
- discuss how Puritans probably would have responded to the topics of these poems based on their cultural values and beliefs (how society shaped/reflected literature)
